Exterior Painting | Austin TX | Brightline Remodeling

Texas sun is hard on paint. We prep aggressively and finish with UV-resistant paint so your exterior holds color and seal for a decade.

Exterior painting in Austin is a different challenge from interior. Direct sun degrades binders, summer heat opens caulk lines, and afternoon storms hit fresh paint. Brightline preps aggressively, paints to weather windows, and uses paint formulated for Texas exposure.

Every exterior project starts with a power-wash to remove dirt, mildew and chalking. Loose paint gets scraped and feathered with a sander; bare wood and patches get primed; every caulk line is inspected and replaced where it's failed (around windows, trim, siding seams). We use exterior-grade acrylic or hybrid alkyd paint with strong UV resistance. Two coats minimum. We paint to weather: no application above 90°F surface temp, no rain within 24 hours of application.

A well-prepped exterior repaint should hold 8–12 years in Austin. A skipped-prep job starts cracking in 2–3. We're transparent about which surfaces need replacing (rotten trim, failed siding boards) before paint — patching over those problems is a short-term fix.

Client Reviews

What clients say about our exterior painting projects.

"Brightline ran the cleanest job site we've ever seen. The schedule slipped by exactly one day across a 14-week project — and they told us about it a week in advance."
Sarah & Mark T. · West Lake Hills
"We interviewed five contractors. Brightline was the only one who walked us through risks before we signed. That honesty paid off all year."
Jennifer R. · Allandale
