Interior Painting | Austin TX | Brightline Remodeling

Most interior paint jobs fail at prep. We patch, sand, prime and caulk first — the painting part is fast because the prep is honest.

Brightline runs interior painting as a standalone service and as part of larger remodels. Our painters work to a documented spec on every job: paint brand, sheen, color formula, two coats minimum, and a defined prep scope (patch, caulk, sand, prime as needed).

Prep is where paint jobs are won or lost. We patch every nail hole, every chip in the trim, every drywall imperfection — feathered wide and sanded smooth. We caulk every gap between trim and wall, between trim pieces, and around door and window casings (the line between trim and wall is the difference between a professional and DIY paint job). Old gloss surfaces get sanded to give the new paint something to bite. Bare drywall and patches get primed before color. We mask thoroughly, drop everything, cut clean lines at ceiling and trim, and roll evenly with the right nap for the surface. Two coats minimum on color changes — we don't try to bury color in one heavy coat.

We spec premium paint by default (Sherwin-Williams Emerald or Benjamin Moore Aura for walls, oil-based or hybrid enamel for trim) because cheap paint costs you on coverage and wash-down. You can downgrade to a value line if budget requires, and we'll be transparent about the trade-off.

Client Reviews

What clients say about our interior painting projects.

"Brightline ran the cleanest job site we've ever seen. The schedule slipped by exactly one day across a 14-week project — and they told us about it a week in advance."
Sarah & Mark T. · West Lake Hills
"We interviewed five contractors. Brightline was the only one who walked us through risks before we signed. That honesty paid off all year."
Jennifer R. · Allandale
